Walter Sabatini “would give Francesco Totti the Nobel Prize in Physics” but claims the No 10’s aura “affects” the growth of his Roma teammates.

Totti celebrated his 40th birthday as Sabatini was busy preparing to vacate his role as Roma sporting director, and the former Palermo official appeared to make a contradictory assessment of the No 10 upon his departure.

“Everybody loves Totti, I’d give him the Nobel Prize in Physics,” he said at a Press conference.

“Everybody loves Totti, I’d give him the Nobel Prize in Physics,” he said at a Press conference.

“He deserves the Ballon d’Or for everything he’s given to Italian football and the world.

“His moves are unique. no-one can reproduce his exploits and this is also true of other great champions.

“It‘s normal that his greatness can overshadow the rest of the group, there’s great attention around him and the growth of the other players is affected as a result.”
