Today the FIGC officially confirmed Conte will step down from the Azzurri bench after Euro 2016 and the announcement from Chelsea is only a matter of time.

Tuttomercatoweb claim Conte is already working on revamping the Premier League club and that includes poaching Roma director of sport Sabatini.

The report suggests Chelsea have been in contact with Sabatini for several months and this has helped spur the increasing tension in the Giallorossi camp.

Sabatini is unpopular with the Roma fans, as he tried desperately to stop the club sacking Rudi Garcia to bring in Luciano Spalletti in January.

It’s rumoured Chelsea are offering to double Sabatini’s current wages to €7.5m per year (£5.8m).
