Antonio Rudiger risked a recurrence of his knee injury in his luxury supercar last Friday, according to reports.

The German international had been out for five months following an anterior cruciate ligament injury and almost risked his comeback by twisting his knee when getting out of his Lamborghini.

Arriving at Roma’s Villa Stuart clinic to visit Alessandro Florenzi – who is also being treated for a cruciate ligament injury – the defender twisted his knee awkwardly when getting out of the supercar which has an extremely low opening.

Corriere dello Sport reports that Rudiger was immediately assessed at the clinic, who found no damage to the knee and fortunately went on to make his first start of the season in Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Empoli.
