The German international arrived in the capital yesterday, and is set to complete an initial loan move from VFB Stuttgart.
“Roma are a great team, and [Rudi] Garcia is a top Coach,” Rudiger told German media, as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I don’t know any player who doesn’t dream of playing in the Champions League. Roma are the perfect club for me to gain European experience.
“The last few weeks haven’t been easy, because of my injury. I’m sorry that a lot of people in Germany think I’m playing some sort of poker game, casting around to find another team.
“The reality is that I just had to recover from my injury.”
