Rossi damaged ligaments in October 2011 and snapped the same ligaments in training during April 2012 as he looked to make a late bid for Euro 2012 selection.

La Nazione suggests that the former Manchester United and Parma forward will spend another week working in isolation.

He will then take part in training with the rest of the squad in an effort to be available for the Tuscan derby in early May.
