Delio Rossi is likely to leave Palermo at the end of the season, says former Rosanero sporting director Walter Sabatini.

President Maurizio Zamparini has said that he will hold talks with the tactician at the end of the season over his future.

Although Zamparini may want Rossi to remain, Sabatini thinks the latter will walk away after being sacked and recalled this term.

"I think there is little chance in Rossi staying," Sabatini, who is expected to work for the new Roma, told ReteRete24. "A cycle has come to the end.

"I think that Delio and Zamparini will make different choices, but this is what happens in football."

Nevertheless, a victory in the Italian Cup Final against Inter on May 29 and the two men could strike a new agreement.

"Victories can sometimes form a bond," Sabatini added. "If they win the Cup then they will perhaps reconsider, but I don't think they can continue together."
