Sources close to the Bianconeri camp had told Football Italia that Ronaldo was not 100 per cent fit and might even be left out of the squad entirely.

It is now confirmed he is in the group, but coach Andrea Pirlo is still giving serious consideration to leaving him on the bench ahead of the Champions League showdown with FC Porto.

The problem is that there are no other strikers available to start, so he could be forced to play regardless, especially as Ronaldo rarely rests if he can avoid it.

The good news for Pirlo is that Arthur, Juan Cuadrado and Leonardo Bonucci return from injury.

Rodrigo Bentancur is out after testing positive for COVID-19, but the other players and staff all tested negative.

Paulo Dybala, Giorgio Chiellini and suspended Gianluca Frabotta are still out of action.

Juventus squad: Szczesny, Pinsoglio, Buffon; Alex Sandro, Danilo, Cuadrado, Bonucci, Demiral, Di Pardo, Dragusin, De Marino; Arthur, Ramsey, McKennie, Chiesa, Rabiot, Bernardeschi, Fagioli, Kulusevski, Peeters; Ronaldo, Morata, Ake
