The Real Madrid forward was linked with a move to the Bianconeri when he was a youngster at Sporting Lisbon, but Marcelo Salas refused to move in the other direction.
Ronaldo eventually joined United, and he spoke with Juve legend Alessandro Del Piero about his aborted move to Turin.
“A lot of clubs were interested in me,” the Portuguese said, in a Sky interview which will be aired in full in January.

“The key man has always been Jorge Mendes though, he gave me the right direction. Of course, I remember there was talk of Juventus and I was happy, because it’s an extraordinary club.
“But there was also talk of Real Madrid, Manchester United and many other clubs. The club that offered me the best conditions was Manchester, since I was a kid my dream had been to play in the Premier League, I liked it a lot more than Serie A.
“Manchester United gave me that opportunity, above all thanks to Sir Alex Ferguson, and obviously Jorge helped me to get there.”
