The Rossoneri go into this top of the table showdown without Mike Maignan, Junior Messias, Samu Castillejo, Alessandro Plizzari and suspended Theo Hernandez.

Romagnoli is another late addition to the absentee list with an adductor inflammation, so Simon Kjaer will start with Fikayo Tomori in central defence.

There is some good news for coach Stefano Pioli, because strikers Rebic and Pellegri return to the fold after their injuries.

It’s reported he will use both Rade Krunic and Brahim Diaz with Rafael Leao supporting Zlatan Ibrahimovic, sending Alexis Saelemaekers to the bench.

Milan squad for Inter: Jungdal, Mirante, Tatarusanu; Ballo-Touré, Calabria, Conti, Florenzi, Gabbia, Kalulu, Kjaer, Tomori; Bakayoko, Bennacer, Diaz, Kessie, Krunic, Saelemaekers, Tonali; Giroud, Ibrahimovic, Leao, Maldini, Pellegri, Rebic

  1. Saelemaekers has been terrible this season and even worse lately, so this has to be the right decision. I just hope Diaz has found his form, he wasn’t anywhere near ready against Porto.

Regarding Romagnoli, he’s no big loss. Actually I prefer Kalulu or even Gabbia to him.

  2. Saelemakers started off the season really well, it only been the last few matches where he has been physically tired and that’s due to no rest for him so he’s Mede some mistakes. He does such a good job in the defensive side of things that he allows players like Calabria to get forward. He is very underated as a player.
