Jose Mourinho’s Roma will face Barcelona at Camp Nou in the Gamper Trophy on August 6.

The Europa Conference League winners were invited to participate in the traditional pre-season fixture in Catalunya.

This is the second time that Roma have played the famous Gamper Trophy, having already made the visit in 2015 with a 3-0 defeat to their former coach Luis Enrique.

These sides clashed in the Champions League quarter-final in April 2018, when the Giallorossi lost the first leg 4-1, yet a 3-0 home victory saw them turn the tie around on the away goals rule.

It is the first time that former Real Madrid manager Mourinho has been at Camp Nou since February 2013, when his men won the Copa del Rey semi-final by a 3-1 scoreline.

The Gamper Trophy will be a full day of football, as the Barcelona and Roma women’s teams will face off first, followed by the men’s squads on the same pitch.
