The late Franco Sensi bought Roma in 1993 and his daughter Rosella has been in charge for the last three years.

Speaking at a Press Conference, Ranieri said: "For me it's like a job, a mission to try and win something at Roma also to once again thank those who brought me back home after 35 years…

"I believe that there are also great Italian investors like Silvio Berlusconi and Massimo Moratti. The important thing is to have money. We have seen it with Roman Abramovich who has presented Fernando Torres to my friend Carlo Ancelotti.

"Foreign investors are welcome at Roma above all if they do good for the club."
