Roma’s Ultras will turn up at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, despite the fact the Curva Sud will be closed for the visit of Atalanta.

The Giallorossi were handed a partial stadium closure after fans in the Curva displayed a banner mocking the mother of murdered Napoli fan Ciro Esposito.

Club President James Pallotta described those supporters as ‘idiots’, leading to a rude banner being displayed outside Trigoria.

Pallotta yesterday insisted that the club has to act to get rid of ‘bad fans’ and it appears the Ultras aren’t backing down either.

“On Sunday, go to the bars outside the stadium to make our voices heard!” read a statement on social media.

“Anyone who doesn’t feel like an ‘idiot’ will be welcome! Avanti Curva Sud, the Roma Ultras.”
