Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini is discussing a new contract, but there is interest from Inter, PSG and Borussia Dortmund, especially with the €30m release clause.

He’ll turn 24 later this month and is a product of their youth academy, even if he wore the Sassuolo jersey from 2015-17.

There is a release clause in his contract worth a frankly measly €30m, which can be paid in two instalments.

His deal only runs to June 2022, so Sky Sport Italia report Pellegrini’s agent was at the Roma headquarters today for negotiations on an extension.

The Giallorossi hope to increase the release clause considerably, while the player wants an improved salary, as he currently earns €2m per season.

According to the reports, Inter, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund are the favourites, although Everton and Manchester United have also been mentioned.

Pellegrini made 24 competitive appearances for Roma this season, contributing three goals and 11 assists.
