Roma reportedly targeted Ajax attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech as a fall-back for Patrik Schick.

Schick ultimately joined Roma in a deal worth up to €42m earlier in the week, but Calciomercato.it claims the Giallorossi had lined up a move for Ziyech.

The website explains the Lupi had offered to take the 24-year-old on loan with a €25m obligatory option to buy, but the Dutch club wanted “no less than €30m”.
