Roma continue to be linked with full-backs in the market and Liverpool's Glen Johnson is listed again as a probable target.

Having picked up Ashley Cole on a Bosman deal after the expiry of his Chelsea contract last summer, the Giallorossi are again being paired with similar interest in Liverpool’s right-back.

The 30-year-old has yet to agree a new contract at Anfield and, with his current deal expiring in June, the Telegraph lists Roma as one club ready to match his current salary.

The full-back is currently paid £120,000-a-week salary, which would equate to a €150,000-a-week wage at Roma, €7.2m a year.

“First and foremost, I want to play for a club that wants me,” Johnson has declared this weekend on the subject.

“If I haven't got a contract, I can't stay.”
