Roma are reportedly interested in signing Cagliari goalkeeper Michael Agazzi to solve their problems between the sticks.

Claudio Ranieri is apparently concerned at the erratic form of Julio Sergio and isn't convinced Doni can recover the form he showed during the years Luciano Spalletti was at the club.

Roma have very little room for maneuver on account of the club's financial problems and it appears the exit of Julio Baptista won't be freeing up any room for more wages.

UniCredit, the bank who took charge of Roma in the summer, would like to see Doni's and Cicinho's wages off the club's books before anyone else come in.

However, Roma are looking for a goalkeeper, possibly with a view to next season and have drawn up a shortlist of candidates.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Agazzi tops the list, although his Cagliari teammate Federico Marchetti is also under observation.

Agazzi would cost Roma around €6m, hence Roma's plan to wait and see whether Marchetti frees himself from his contract at Sant'Elia after being frozen out of the team.

Another name being considered is that of Antonio Rosati, the Lecce goalkeeper.
