Martin was speaking at a press conference and declared that the Giallorossi have declared their interest in the Valencia midfielder.
“It’s true, there is an important offer for the lad. We are waiting for their decision,” said Martin.
“I don’t want him to leave, but I have to understand. Everyone knows that he is a very important player for me and we are waiting.

“We want to continue counting on him because, if he leaves, we will have problems.”
Roma have reportedly offered €5m for the midfielder, however Spanish side Valencia stand to earn only 80% of the fee.
Villar has made 20 appearances for Elche in the Spanish second division, scoring once.
