Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea have reached an agreement regarding his price tag next summer, allowing Roma to start planning ahead.
After much drama this summer, the Belgian striker signed for the Giallorossi in the final days of the transfer window, joining on a loan deal with no permanence clause attached.
Lukaku has shined in the first few months of the season under Jose Mourinho, scoring nine goals across 14 games in Serie A and the Europa League, continuing to prove himself despite his off-pitch antics.
As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Chelsea have agreed to put a €38m price tag on Lukaku for next summer’s transfer window, an agreement that’ll be inserted into his contract as a clause.
Roma are keen to retain him beyond this season and director Tiago Pinto has started to explore his options in recent weeks, keen to see if the club can obtain a slight discount on the agreed fee.
Other clubs are also interested in the Belgian striker, who’ll likely be a key figure in the summer transfer window once again.
