Roma have reportedly opened talks with former Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund scout Sven Mislintat.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Mislintat was introduced to Roma President James Pallotta [pictured] a few days ago.

The German is currently out of work after vacating his role as Arsenal’s head of recruitment.

Prior to his spell with the Gunners, he had worked his way up at Dortmund, going on to become their chief scout.

The 46-year-old is credited with putting together the Dortmund side who won back-to-back Bundesliga titles and reached a Champions League Final between 2011 and 2013.

However, it is not clear which role he would take up for the Giallorossi, who still need a technical director.
