Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini has tested negative for coronavirus and will most likely return against CFR Cluj in the Europa League next week.

The 24-year-old confirmed on Instagram that he has recovered from COVID-19: “Finally negative and ready to return.”

Pellegrini has played all seven Serie A games this term but had to sit out of the international break and seems set for a return to action in the Europa League on Thursday next week.

Pellegrini has played all seven Serie A games this term but had to sit out of the international break and seems set for a return to action in the Europa League on Thursday next week.

He must go through a medical examination and will probably not be ready in time for the match against Parma this weekend, when the Giallorossi must cope without Edin Dzeko too.
