Roma have confirmed that Edin Dzeko and Amadou Diawara both successfully underwent surgery on Monday.
Dzeko had an operation to correct two fractures to his right cheekbone, sustained during Roma’s 1-1 draw with Cagliari at the weekend.
Diawara, for his part, suffered a minor tear to the meniscus in his left knee and had a minor operation.
The striker has already pulled out of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s squad for the international break and may need to wear a protective mask on his return.
As for the ex-Napoli midfielder, he is speculated to be facing a month on the sidelines.
