Roma owned forward Ola Solbakken has not managed to impress on loan at Olympiacos and could leave for Urawa Red Diamonds in the coming weeks, reports highlight.

The 25-year-old Norwegian winger arrived in the Italian capital from Bodo/Glimt on a free transfer last year but failed to impress Jose Mourinho during his six months with the Giallorossi, scoring once and providing two assists across 15 games.

Solbakken joined Olympiacos in the summer on a loan deal with a buy option attached. He hasn’t managed to hit the ground running in Greece, seeing just 304 minutes of action across eight total appearances in the first half of this season.

As reported by TMW, Solbakken is closing to joining Japanese side Urawa Red Diamonds on loan in the coming weeks, reuniting with coach Per-Mathias Hogmo, who he worked with a Bodo/Glimt.

The 25-year-old has already played for two teams this term – Roma and Olympiacos – but is able to join the Japanese club because the new J-League season doesn’t start until February.
