Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Roma have contacted Renato Sanches and Paris Saint-Germain to start sounding out a possible move this summer.

The Giallorossi have already been active in the summer transfer window, picking up Evan Ndicka and Houssem Aouar on free transfers, and Diego Llorente and Rasmus Kristensen on loan.

Jose Mourinho’s side were interested in making a move for Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi to bolster their midfield but they lost out to Inter, so now they’re switching focus to their alternatives.

As reported by Di Marzio, Roma are keen to understand the margins of a move for Renato Sanches this summer, so they’ve made contact with both Paris Saint-Germain and the midfielder’s entourage.

The Giallorossi cannot complete a definitive transfer, so they’re hoping the Ligue 1 giants will be open to a loan deal, similar to the one that brought Georginio Wijnaldum to the Italian capital last summer.

Renato Sanches joined PSG from Lille a year ago but struggled to make a strong impression in his debut season, seeing just 905 minutes of action across 27 total appearances.
