Incumbent President James Pallotta has reassured Roma fans “we are only at the beginning. Have faith in us.”

There were high hopes when the American investors took over the club last summer, but under Luis Enrique they failed to even qualify for Europe, so Zdenek Zeman is now on the bench.

“I am feeling such great emotions, as I could not have imagined such a great friendly as the one we played against Liverpool,” Pallotta said of last night’s 2-1 win.

The game was played at Fenway Park in Boston, as Pallotta and current President Thomas Di Benedetto own shares in Liverpool, Roma and the Boston Red Sox baseball team.

“We are on the right path, but we are only at the beginning of this project,” Pallotta told Roma Channel.

“I told the lads and the staff to enjoy themselves this week, enjoy Boston and be happy. Boston is the ideal city to host Roma and we want to show everything we are doing.

“The more people see what our plans are, the more we can set an important trend. We want to go to Asia next year, hopefully going through two nations, then returning to the United States.

“We are only at the start and need time, so have faith in us. Forza Roma!”
