Whilst the 49-year-old’s current deal runs through to June 2015, Roma are believed keen to secure him to a longer term deal so as to ward off potential interest this summer from other European clubs looking to hire.

Meanwhile, it is also seen by Il Messagero today that the Lupi are continuing to push for Pjanic to renew his current contract, with a new deal to include a buyout clause of €30m.
