Roma are said to be in advanced negotiations with Leeds United over a possible loan deal for defender Rasmus Kristensen according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio on Saturday afternoon.

The right-sided defender is expected to be on the move this summer following Leeds’ relegation from the Premier League on the final day of the 2022/23 season.

Roma have been admirers of the Danish international for a relatively long while already, having expressed an interest in acquiring his signature from RB Salzburg last season before his eventual move to Yorkshire. The €15m price tag set by his former club was thought to be too much for the Giallorossi at the time, who instead turned to Zeki Celik from Lille.

Now, however, Roma have another opportunity to make a move for the 25-year-old, who is unlikely to spend the 2023/24 season plying his trade in the second tier of English football.

According to Di Marzio’s claims, Roma have initiated discussions with Leeds over a potential move for Kristensen, which are now thought to be at an advanced stage.

Furthermore, Kristensen himself has reportedly given his approval and expressed a willingness to play at the Stadio Olimpico next season.

Di Marzio writes that Roma will look to reach an official agreement with Leeds over a potential loan move in the coming days.
