Nicolo Zaniolo claims Roma have ‘a mental problem’ after their 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid on Tuesday.
Roma qualified for the Champions League last 16 but nonetheless fell to their second loss in succession, and Zaniolo admits his side were ‘hit hard’ by Madrid’s opening goal.
“For me it’s not a physical problem but rather a mental one,” the young midfielder said after the match.
“We had a great game in the first half and started well, but then their goal hit us hard.
