Roma are reportedly pushing to sign Porto’s Hector Herrera, who they want to bring to Italy in January.

The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season, and has been linked with several European clubs.

He is free to negotiate with other teams from January, and today’s Corriere dello Sport states that Giallorossi sporting director Monchi has been tracking him for some time.

Now President James Pallotta has given the go-ahead to move for Herrera, with intermediary Claudio Vigorelli working to beat off competition from Arsenal.
