There are reports Roma could transform to a 3-4-1-2 formation against Barcelona with Radja Nainggolan behind Patrik Schick and Edin Dzeko.

The second leg of the Champions League quarter-final kicks off at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT), following on from the 4-1 first leg result at Camp Nou.

The Giallorossi have a mountain to climb in order to reach the semi-final, but Dzeko’s away goal does give some small sliver of hope.

Cengiz Under is back in the squad after an injury on international duty with Turkey, but probably not fit to start, while Diego Perotti is ruled out.

Nainggolan missed the first leg, but is ready to start and could be used in a trequartista role behind strikers Schick and Dzeko.

The real surprise is that Coach Eusebio Di Francesco could be ready to unleash a 3-4-1-2 system, radically different from his usual 4-3-3.

It would allow Alessandro Florenzi and Aleksandar Kolarov to move into more advanced positions, or even Stephan El Shaarawy on the left and Kolarov as one of three centre-backs.

Barcelona are without Lucas Digne and cup-tied Philippe Coutinho, but the biggest doubt surrounds Sergio Busquets.

He already passed a late fitness test to play in the first leg and probably won’t be risked at the Stadio Olimpico, so Andre Gomes can step in.

Andres Iniesta and Ivan Rakitic pull the strings behind Leo Messi and Luis Suarez.

Probable line-ups
