Walter Sabatini suggests that Roma's struggles see them experiencing a ‘technical frustration’, but one he sees them able to overcome.

On from the 59-year-old sporting director's admission that some of his market decisions may have contributed to the Giallorossi's current dearth of results, the Lupi chief said that the problems run deeper than that.

“The team is experiencing something like a sense of being frustrated technically,” he said, in an interview with Roma Radio.

“There is a precarious state of form at the moment. In some of yesterday's plays I saw flashes of the beautiful Roma I knew, with moves by [Francesco] Totti, [Daniele] Verde and Gervinho.

“Roma can get their game back and their attacking mechanisms. We must have faith.

“We have a strong squad and they'll prove it from here to the end of the season. They will look to meet the targets they set themselves.”

Sabatini was asked what might turn the team's form around, and he said that results mattered above all else.

“Sometimes even one victory is enough to get you back on your feet and light of heart.

“Revising a team's training sessions is always just theory. The condition of the team is sufficient. We're a bit short in terms of sprinting power, but we'll recover that.

“There are no guilty parties at the moment, no situations that have to be analysed or resolved.

“Roma do not turn down any of their commitments and they will get to the end of the season still centred on their objectives.”
