Roma have reportedly identified Dario Benedetto, Andrea Belotti and Duvan Zapata as possible replacements for Edin Dzeko.

Dzeko has been heavily tipped to leave this summer, and Corriere dello Sport writes interim sporting director Ricky Massara met ex-Roma defender and Boca Juniors chief Nicolas Burdisso at Trigoria earlier in the week.

The newspaper explains they used the opportunity to discuss not only Diego Perotti but also Benedetto, who could be ‘a viable option’ to support Patrik Schick in a new-look attack.

The 28-year-old was linked with the Giallorossi two summers ago, has five Argentina caps and already holds an Italian passport due to his heritage.

However, injuries have taken their toll in 2018-19, limiting the forward to just three goals in 16 appearances for Los Xeneizes.

Nonetheless, he is said to have an asking price of just €10m, making him an affordable option for the Giallorossi.

Il Corriere adds Roma are also looking at Belotti, despite his wish to stay at Torino, and Zapata, although the latter is only likely if Gian Piero Gasperini becomes their next Coach.

Sampdoria, meanwhile, are not expected to take up their €18.5m option to buy Lupi loanee Gregoire Defrel after he was caught drink-driving.
