The match takes place on Sunday at 14:00 GMT. The former Manchester City striker has not flourished under Coach Spalletti. He started against Real Madrid last Tuesday but missed an incredible opportunity to go 1-0 up.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Spalletti has not given up on the Bosnian and will start him against Udinese.

The decision is partly an attempt to instill Dzeko with new confidence, and partly a necessity due to the defections in midfield.

Director of play Miralem Pjanic is reporting pain in his ankle, on top of which he risks picking up a suspension just before the match against Inter.

Radja Nainggolan is still not available, Daniele De Rossi is out of form and Seydou Keita is suffering from fatigue.

Spalletti may therefore be forced to deploy the same 4-2-3-1 he used against Madrid, giving more room to the wingers and strikers, and resting some of his central midfielders.
