Roma and Liverpool have both been charged by UEFA for setting off fireworks in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final.

The Giallorossi won 4-2 on Wednesday night, but that wasn’t enough to see them through to the final after their 5-2 first leg loss.

Today UEFA has released its disciplinary report, and it has been confirmed that Roma President James Pallotta has been charged for his post-match comments.

The Lupi have also been charged after fans set off fireworks, while they also face action for “insufficient organisation” and blocked stairways.

Liverpool have also been charged with setting off fireworks, with the case to be heard by UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body on May 31.
