Roma director Walter Sabatini could leave to join Bologna, replaced by ex-Inter chief Marco Branca.

Sabatini’s status at the club was badly dented by the dismissal of Rudi Garcia, as he defended the Coach to the end.

He was overruled by President James Pallotta and CEO Mauro Baldissoni, who worked tirelessly to bring in Luciano Spalletti.

Sky Sport Italia suggest this has damaged the rapport so badly that Sabatini will leave Roma once the transfer window closes on Monday.

Roma Radio, the official station of the club, released a statement assuring there would be no changes "until the end of the season."

He already has another job lined up at Bologna, where he’d be united with several other former Giallorossi staffers.

In turn, his place would be taken by ex-Inter transfer guru Branca.

Roma are making other changes too, as marketing chief Giorgio Brambilla is expected to join Inter next month.

His role had been reduced anyway with the arrival of former Barcelona marketing man Laurent Colette.
