Although the Giallorossi have not officially announced the transfer yet, Balzaretti already held his first training session with Zdenek Zeman and the squad this afternoon at the Trigoria ground.
His arrival means there is no room for Jose Angel and it’s widely reported the Spaniard will be heading to Benfica over the next few days.
“Benfica are a great club and it would be an important opportunity for me,” he told Portuguese newspaper Record.
