Roma target Carlos Bacca's agent says if an 'appropriate' offer isn't forwarded, his player is 'happy to stay at Sevilla'.

A scant 24 hours after The Guardian quoted him linking Bacca to Liverpool, the player's agent Sergio Barila warned that an insufficient offer would not make them budge.

“Carlos has developed into one of the best strikers in Europe and I think it's within the norm that several high-profile teams should be after him,” he told Calciomercato.it.

“It wouldn't be professional for me to name the clubs that have asked about him, especially because he has a contract with Sevilla.

“Should the club receive an interesting offer, we'd be ready to evaluate it carefully.”

Barila was then asked whether Bacca would play in Serie A or in the Premier League next season.

“I think he has the skills to compete in the top European leagues.

“But if he were to stay where he is, he'd be just as happy.

“I'll say this again, we'll evaluate the appropriate offers, otherwise he's happy to stay.

“His family is very happy in Sevilla too. Now he's focused on the Copa America and he's not thinking about the transfer market.”
