The Turk is considered one of his country’s greatest-ever exports, winning Spanish titles with Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

Despite that, he has played just 31 times for Basaksehir since arriving from Barca in January of last year.

His price has plummeted to €1m on Transfermarkt and he was banned for 10 games last season after he attacked a referee.

Roma host Basaksehir next Thursday, before travelling to Istanbul on November 28.
