The former Inter defender is seen as a target for both the Nerazzurri and the Old Lady, with recent reports suggesting that the latter are only €1m away from agreeing a deal with Porto.

Today, however, Tuttosport reiterates that the player, while still focused on an Italian transfer, must first extend his current contract.

According to the publication, Porto President Pinto da Costa is open to letting him go on loan until June, but only after having secured a new deal that would keep Rolando’s valuation from dropping significantly in the summer, when his current contract enters its final 12 months.

It is believed that Porto are looking to extend Rolando’s current deal from June 2016 to June 2017.
