Santos have reportedly taken steps in their attempts to sign Robinho from Milan this summer, as the player’s agent lands in Italy.

With the deadline for the Brazilian transfer window closing on July 15 approaching, it is reported in Italy that the Brazilian club have advanced in talks to re-sign the 29-year-old.

On from reports yesterday in Brazil that indicated that Milan and Robinho had ceded ground to try and advance the deal, details today are on the specifics involved.

The forward has reportedly reduced his monthly wage demands from €400,000 to €340,000, just as the Rossoneri are ready to accept a deal in the region of €8m-€10m.

This will include the arrangement of two friendlies to be played with Santos, to be arranged at Milan’s convenience.

Robinho’s agent has also flown out to Milan to negotiate with the club his potential sale.

“He accepts that he will earn a lot less to return to Santos, he is aware that there is a need to reduce his current salary,” explained Marisa Ramos to LANCE!Net today.

“I have a planned trip to Milan and will arrive today [yesterday].

“Upon learning of Santos’ genuine interest, I will talk to Milan in the coming days.”
