The Rossoneri were on sparkling form with five consecutive Serie A victories that took them into third place.

“Our mentality is to pick up as many points as possible because we want to get back to the top of the table,” the Brazilian told Milan Channel.

“Obviously winning the Champions League group would also be important, but we are doing well and have already qualified. Naturally, we hope to do even better.

“We want to win the Scudetto, so we have to target the victory in every single game.”

Robinho remains at Milanello this week to train with his club side, as he was not called up by Brazil.

“We did a lot of physical and technical work, which is important now that we finally have a week to train solidly.

“Of course I think about the Selecao, but these were friendlies and I have to focus on recovering my best form so that I can get back into the Brazil squad.”

Milan have been rocked by Antonio Cassano’s mini-stroke and heart surgery, which rule him out for around six months.

“We miss Antonio a great deal and hope he can return soon. He is wonderful, though we have many talented players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexandre Pato who can ensure the quality level won’t drop too much.”
