On-loan Milan forward Robinho says he wants to stay at Santos, rather than return to San Siro or move elsewhere.

The former Real Madrid man is on loan in Brazil until the end of the season, but the Rossoneri are still paying 40 per cent of his salary.

“There are other Brazilian clubs looking at me, because they know there are problems with Santos,” Robinho told SportTv.

“In all humility, I must say that’s it’s normal that clubs are looking at a good player like me, but I want to stay here.

“I’m a professional, and I think about what’s best for my career. I know that things can change quickly in football, and anything can happen, but I want to stay here at Santos.

“Of course, it depends on my redemption [from Milan], but my desire is to stay, not just for another year, but for a while longer.”
