Tomas Rincon will reportedly begin training with Juventus on Sunday as the Bianconeri hope to also bring in long-term target Axel Witsel.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, everything is in place for Rincon to become a Juve player once the transfer window reopens for January on New Years’ Day.

Described as “a general in a team of emperors, muscle, jackhammer and with no fear”, the Venezuela midfielder is expected to be one of two players to belatedly replace Paul Pogba.

Described as “a general in a team of emperors, muscle, jackhammer and with no fear”, the Venezuela midfielder is expected to be one of two players to belatedly replace Paul Pogba.

That is because, according to the newspaper, Massimiliano Allegri “wants two midfielders, the second almost certainly Witsel”.

Kwadwo Asamoah and Mario Lemina will soon leave for the Africa Cup of Nations, while Hernanes could be Genoa-bound.

Despite the Belgian’s desire to join the Old Lady, however, the stumbling block remains a fee being agreed between the latter and Zenit St Petersburg.
