Sevilla goalkeeper Sergio Rico reveals “Milan made me a very good offer” when Gianluigi Donnarumma was about to walk away.
There was a period during the summer when Donnarumma had formally rejected a new contract with the Rossoneri and they were seeking a replacement.
“Milan made me a very good offer, but Sevilla proposed a contract renewal,” Rico told El Descuento de El Correo TV.
“My head is here and my goal was always to continue.”
The release clause in Rico’s new deal was increased to €40m.
