Franck Ribery confirms Bayern Munich won’t play for a draw against Juventus – “we always want to win games”.

The first leg of the Champions League Last 16 tie ended 2-2, meaning a 0-0 or 1-1 draw would see the Bavarians advance on away goals.

“We always want to win games,” Ribery told reporters in the pre-match Press conference.

“We’re a team which always wants to attack, be on the front foot and keep possession. We’ll need to put on a good display tomorrow.

“We’re playing against a great team, with a lot of experience and great players. We’ll also have to have a bit of patience tomorrow, that’ll be important.”

Ribery is coming back from a lengthy injury spell, but the French international assures he’s ready to play tomorrow if needed.

“Yes. I’m ready. I’m fine, I feel good and I’ve been training well.

“Arjen Robben? I don’t know, he had a small problem yesterday, we’re not sure what it is. You’d have to ask the doctor and Arjen.

“We hope it’s not serious for the game tomorrow.”

The former Marseille man was then asked for his assessment of tomorrow's opponents.

"They play very well in defence," Ribery explained.

"Everyone knows it, it's the typical Italian mentality. There are great players in the Juventus defence, they don't give you much room.

"We played against Juventus in 2013 too, we did well by winning 2-0 at home and away from home, but it was always a difficult game.

"They're a great team, they defend very well but we have to see how we can break down that defence.

"That said, we also have to pay attention to their game, their shots on goal, free-kicks… we have to be smart.

"We're playing at home, so we shouldn't be too focused on Juventus. We want to score goals, and we have time to do that.

"I think Juventus will always be looking to play tomorrow, but they'll sit and wait in defence, so like Robert [Lewandowski] said we can't lose focus.

"We want to try and attack from the first minute and score goals, but we can't excessively attack, we have to be wary of Juventus."
