TMW adds the sporting director is in line for a severance package of €1.5m and that he will sign a three-year contract with Arsenal.

As for who will replace the Spaniard, the website writes the Giallorossi are eyeing Sampdoria pair Walter Sabatini and Carlo Osti.

In the meantime, in-house duo Ricky Massara and Federico Balzaretti are expected to fill the void on an interim basis.

Monchi is believed to have felt increasingly isolated and disenfranchised at the Stadio Olimpico, as he had been a staunch defender of Di Francesco.
