There are reports that Real Madrid are cooling on Antonio Conte and veering towards former Inter winger Santiago Solari.
Madrid were reportedly planning to install Conte as their new Coach on Monday, but Gianluca Di Marzio, Mundo Deportivo and AS all position Solari as the new favourite to replace Julen Lopetegui.

Di Marzio notes the option of the Argentine is ‘becoming ever more important’ as he represents a ‘Zinedine Zidane-style appointment’, given he would be promoted from Los Blancos’ B team.
MD, meanwhile, claims negotiations with the ex-Chelsea boss ‘are proving more difficult than expected’ and that Solari could lead Madrid for their four games before the international break.
Finally, AS reports Conte is demanding ‘a long contract’ with Madrid, as well as ‘the guarantee of being able to work’, and warned ‘he has a lot to do’.
It comes after Sergio Ramos said ‘respect is earned, not imposed’, in what was interpreted as a message to the former Juventus and Italy Coach.
