Sassuolo have reportedly reached an agreement with Francesco Caputo, who remains at the Mapei Stadium until June 2023 with an option for a further year.
Both Sky Sport Italia and SportItalia report the Neroverdi have moved to reassure Caputo stays in Reggio-Emilia for the next two seasons.
The 33-year-old’s current deal expires in June 2022 and Sassuolo will have an option to extend the new deal until June 2024.

This season the veteran has struggled with several injury setbacks but contributed 11 goals in 24 Serie A games so far and continues to be one of the pillars in the team.
