La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolò Schira writes that the former Sweden international has asked for clarification and will meet with the CEO this week, in search of answers.

The 38-year-old arrived from LA Galaxy in January and has helped lift the mood at San Siro in 2020 and it looked like the Rossoneri were heading consistently in the right directions.

But this month the tides have turned and sporting director Zvonimir Boban will allegedly take Gazidis to trial over the club’s conduct in his imminent farewell to Milan after only half a season in the role.

Boban will, according to multiple reports in Italy, most likely return to work at FIFA, whilst technical director Paolo Maldini’s future at the Milanello is also uncertain.

Schira writes that Zlatan has asked for guarantees on the club’s ambitions and clarity on his own role at the Giuseppe Meazza, with a decisive confrontation with the hierarchy to take place this week.
