Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly close to agreeing an initial £16m (€18m) fee for Milan striker Patrick Cutrone.

According to Sky Sports, talks are ongoing between the two clubs and Wolves are hopeful of negotiating a deal with add-ons for less than Milan’s £23m (€25.8m) asking price.

However, the broadcaster stresses the 21-year-old – who is currently with the Rossoneri on their US tour – will ‘not rush’ making a decision.

It was only claimed last night that the Italian had ‘no intention’ of a switch to the English side, who are about to contest the Europa League qualifiers.

Nonetheless, the Diavolo may be forced to sell him after Monaco pulled out of a €30m deal to sign Andre Silva.
