Torino have reportedly offered Andrea Belotti a new four-year deal worth €4m a season to stay at the Granata.

President Urbano Cairo has reiterated his intentions to secure a new contract with the Italy international, who has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

Belotti’s current deal expires in June 2022 and the giants in Serie A, especially Roma, have been linked with the 27-year-old.

“We made him a very, very important offer considering the coffers of Torino,” Cairo said when asked about Beotti’s future, according to Sky Sport Italia. “When he returns, we will talk about it together with the sporting director [Davide] Vagnati.”

The Torino captain’s contract situation has attracted interest from various clubs and Cairo stressed ‘this is not new’, but hopes the former Palermo forward wants to continue at the Grande Torino.

Sky Sport Italia reports the striker has been offered a new four-year contract at Filadelfia, until June 2026.

The ‘important offer’ Cairo was talking about includes bonuses and the broadcaster claims it reaches €4m a season, as Toro are working hard to convince the striker to stay put.

Belotti is currently on holiday after his international duties with Italy and will discuss the proposal when he returns.
